Greetings dear friends! I hope you are having a fun filled summer. I have been enjoying swimming in the pool at our apartment almost everyday, with my 13 year old son, Jesse. The benefits are three-fold: I get a good, daily work out; I get to bond and have fun with my precious son; and the experience is accelerating my spiritual growth. I have learned that a true spiritual master is actually very grounded in their physical body. If you are feeling ungrounded or "stuck" on any level, I would suggest going to the gym, going for a run, or a swim, etc. But whatever you do, HAVE FUN AND DON'T FORGET TO BREATHE!
My webmaster recently updated my website. I made quite a few changes, so please check out the fruits of our labor. During mercury retrograde I had quite a few problems with the company that hosts my website. I could not even access my own site to edit it, therefore the new support group that started in June was never posted until just recently. I apologize for the delay. All the information on the site is now current.

What's in a name?
My friend and I were recently talking about the meaning of names. This has always been an area of interest for me ever since I got on my spiritual path, as the names of my spirit guides, I discovered, always have a special message for me.
For example, in 1997, my very first spirit guide that I was consciously aware of was named Al. Al was a very handsome young man with a big smile. He was always happy, with a big "perma-grin" on his face, and would constantly make jokes to teach me to lighten up and not take myself too seriously. One day I felt guided to look up the name Al in my book of names I got when I was pregnant with my son, Jesse. "Al" means "handsome and cheerful."
After Al came this beautiful, shapely, hot, sexy spirit guide named Andrea. Andrea was helping me heal from sexual abuse issues and wanted me to own my womanhood. After awhile I finally looked up her name and "Andrea" means "womanly."
I recently performed a spirit retrieval for a friend named Scott. During the session an aspect of himself who was an enlightened Scottish king in 1463 showed up. A week or so later I was laying in bed thinking about Scott's spirit retrieval and I asked what the enlightened Scottish king's name was. I heard "'Roderick." I jumped out of bed and got out my book of names...The name "Scott" means "Scotsman." The name "Roderick" means "famous ruler." Put it all together and you have a "famous Scottish ruler." Now I do not think God could have given me any better validation than that!
And in case you are wondering, "Joni" means "God is gracious," and my middle name "Ellen" means "Light." So put it together and my name is "God is gracious light."
Thank you to my friend for reminding me how much fun it is to get messages from the divine through the meaning of names! God uses many different ways to communicate with us; the menaing of our names is just one. So what does your name mean?

I was planning to reserve this space for a channeled article by Mother Mary. However, since the last newsletter it was brought to my attention by some friends, colleagues, and clients that my channeled work with Mother Mary should be reserved for a book. I browsed through several years worth of channeled writing I have done with Mother Mary in my journal and realized that I was sitting on a gold mine!
A couple nights ago I was inspired to finally sit down and channel a book with Mary...and now we are already on Chapter 4!
With that said, I am currently feeling guided NOT to add a channeled article by Mother Mary to this particular newsletter. That may change next month or next year--who knows! So please stay tuned as my work with Mother Mary unfolds. |
