Since 1999 I have been studying what actually causes the spirit to split off, what symptoms result from spirit loss, and what occurs during the spirit retrieval process, thus, perfecting my own unique spirit retrieval technique. I choose to call my technique spirit retrieval rather than the more commonly known name, "soul retrieval," that comes from Shamanism because it is my understanding that the soul cannot fragment without resulting in death.  So please let me share this wonderful, new and different, revised version of soul retrieval, I call "spirit retrieval."

CAUSES, SYMPTOMS & CURE FOR SPIRIT FRAGMENTATION

• Spirit fragmentation is the result of disconnecting or disassociating from aspects of one's own spirit.
• Disconnecting or disassociating from one's spirit results from trauma, abuse, neglect, invalidation, judgment, fear, and lack of love and acceptance.
• Lack of love and acceptance results in loss of spirit, and loss of spirit creates weakness on all levels of one's being.
• Loss of spirit results in mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual illness and disease.
• Lack of love, and thus loss of spirit, are the source of all depression, anxiety, codependency, addictions, violence, poverty, and so on.
• Lack of love is the source of all conflict, pain, and suffering on all levels.
• Love and acceptance heals spirit fragmentation.
• Love and acceptance heals mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual weakness, illness, disease, conflict, pain, and suffering.
• Love heals all.

Through spirit retrieval and a consultation with Mother Mary and your Higher Self, I will help you restore your sense of spiritual wholeness and overall health and well being. Mother Mary, your Higher Self, and I will give you a road map for ending all of your pain and suffering once and for all. You will learn practical ways to love, honor, respect, and nurture your own spirit on a daily basis. I will reveal the wishes of your Higher God Self, thus putting you on your rightful path toward fulfilling your purpose on earth, and achieving perfect peace and joy. I will begin the session by taking you through a guided meditation for healing and relaxation purposes. Then I will connect with Mother Mary and ask her to take me to a spirit fragment, or aspect of yourself that you have disassociated from, that is ready to return back to your body and your conscious awareness.

When I meet the spirit fragment I will see a visual representation of you at the age that this particular spirit fragment split off. I may see an aspect of you from this lifetime (either from the past or future), or from another lifetime, which may include a future lifetime.  Time does not really exist, therefore everything that exists, exists right now.  So my job during the spirit retrieval is to help you connect with other aspects of yourself that you are unaware of, to become more whole and unified with your higher God Self. 

Once I have connected with the spirit fragment I will introduce myself to the spirit fragment and explain to him/her what we are doing. I will then get to know the spirit fragment VERY WELL. I will find out why it disconnected from you and what the issues are that need to be healed. I will validate the spirit's experience and heal the issues that caused the spirit fragment to split off.

As I get to know the spirit fragment better I will find out exactly what qualities, characteristics, knowledge, wisdom, gifts, or talents this particular spirit fragment possesses, in other words, I will let you know what part of yourself you are getting back.

I will then find out exactly what the spirit fragment wants in order to return to your physical body. I will give you a very specific, practical, and concrete list of wishes from your spirit fragment. You must promise to fulfill your own spirit fragments wishes once it has returned back to your body-this is how you love, honor, respect, and nurture YOURSELF.....this is how you LIVE IN YOUR OWN SPIRIT.

Once the spirit fragment feels safe returning back to your physical body, and you are finished asking either the spirit fragment or Mother Mary any questions you may have, I will then return the spirit fragment to your physical body through a guided visualization technique. Once the spirit fragment returns back to your physical body I will seal your body with channeled healing energy and I will place a sacred geometric symbol over your heart chakra.

CRYSTAL'S SPIRIT RETRIEVAL

Crystal is a bright, young, single mother who attended the weekly hands-on healing group that my friends and I used to hold. In July of 1999 I performed a spirit retrieval for Crystal. When I asked my spirit guide to retrieve a spirit fragment that needed to return to Crystal's body I began having visions of hula dancers wearing grass skirts, dancing on the beach in Hawaii. I was confused and did not immediately report this information to Crystal. I did not actually see the spirit so I wasn't sure what was going on.

Eventually, after repeatedly asking to meet the spirit fragment, I saw Crystal at age eighteen wearing what appeared to be a prom dress or some sort of evening gown. This spirit's energy was strong, confident, outgoing, and emanating pure beauty and optimism. I felt saddened that Crystal had lost such a beautiful part of herself. As I asked for information about the cause of the spirit loss I was told that she was on her way to go out on an important date and her boyfriend had somehow ruined the evening for her. Ever since, Crystal had not felt the same way about life, herself, or relationships.

When I relayed this information to Crystal she told me that that was the age she got involved with her daughter's father, whom she is no longer with. He was mentally and physically abusive to Crystal and destroyed her self-confidence and out-look on life.

As we discussed her relationship with her daughter's father, Crystal wondered how much contact she ought to have with him and his relatives. The spirit fragment insisted that she not have any contact. Crystal then admitted that she had always pursued contact with them, but they had never pursued her or her daughter and did not extend their lives to her in any way. Crystal promised to abide by the spirit fragments wishes and terminate the relationship with the paternal relatives, who had only caused her pain.

Finally, when I asked the spirit what she wanted from Crystal in order to be nurtured, the vision of the Hawaiian hula dancers popped back into my mind. The spirit said she wanted to live in Hawaii. I was afraid to tell Crystal what the spirit wanted for fear she could not grant such a wish. I tactfully asked Crystal what this vision meant to her. Crystal became excited and hopeful as she explained to me that she has been having dreams for the last few months about living in Hawaii and was considering moving there and starting a new life. I was shocked and relieved to know that this was, indeed, a realistic request that Crystal could and would grant for her spirit fragment.

After Crystal promised to start a new life in Hawaii and not pursue contact with her daughter's paternal relatives, I sent the spirit fragment back to her body. Watching Crystal's transformation during this spirit retrieval was like watching a wilted bud come back to life and bloom. I felt excited and hopeful for Crystal to return to the beautiful, self-confident, optimistic woman she was meant to be.

CHRIS' SPIRIT RETRIEVAL

Chris was a sixteen year old girl who attended the weekly hands-on healing group with her mother. I had never met her until we sat down to perform a spirit retrieval in August of 1999. When I asked my spirit guide to take me to a spirit fragment that needed to return to Chris' body he took me to a farm with stables but I could not see anyone around. I got the sense that the spirit fragment was hiding from me. I tried calling out to her and explaining to her why she needed to come back, but I got no response and had no idea where she was.

When I relayed this scenario to Chris, she looked very surprised and emotional. She explained to me that she used to live on a farm and was very upset when she had to move away. I then questioned my spirit guide about why the spirit was hiding from me. He told me that she loves all the animals at the farm and she did not want to return to Chris because Chris did not live on the farm anymore and Chris did not have any animals for her to take care of. I asked Chris if she loved animals and her face lit up as she went on and on about how much animals meant to her. I asked her if she had any animals now and she responded that she only had one cat. I explained to Chris that the spirit wanted to be around a lot of animals and she would need to get some more. She replied that she would be getting a dog soon.

As we were talking I kept having a re-occurring vision of Chris caring for horses in a stable. I asked her if she knew anyone with horses that she could help to care for them. Chris said that she had a friend with horses who lived out of town and she might be able to visit her more often. I felt like she was supposed to care for animals on a more regular basis, preferably once a week or more. Then Chris told me that she had some relatives who owned a pet shop and she could work there once a week. I felt like Chris had come up with a good plan to start nurturing her spirit, so I returned to the farm to look for the hiding spirit fragment.

First, I called out to the spirit and told her of Chris' plans, but she still did not come out. Then I asked my spirit guide to help me talk her into coming out. My spirit guide went right over to her, picked her up, brought her to me, and dumped her into my arms. I held her and looked at her face. She was very scared and sad. When I asked her age, she would transform before my eyes from a five year old to an eight year old. At first I was confused, then my spirit guide explained to me that two spirit fragments were returning.

I addressed each spirit fragment separately and asked them what they wanted from Chris. The five year old wanted to be around a lot of animals, wanted Chris to get a pet rabbit, and she wanted to go horseback riding. She boasted to me that some day when Chris grew up she would own her very own horse. The eight year old said she liked animals, but was afraid of being alone and was more interested in having lots of friends that would come to her house to play with her and her animals. She also wanted to have a slumber party!

When I told Chris the ages of the two spirit fragments and what each wanted, she was blown away. She explained to me that she had to move away from the farm when she was five and her parents got divorced when she was eight. Chris said she was devastated when she had to leave the farm and during her parents divorce she felt very alone. Chris appeared to be thrilled over fulfilling all of the spirit fragments wishes.

When I told the two spirit fragments how excited Chris was to have them back and how she genuinely wanted to fulfill their wishes, they finally began to look hopeful about returning to her body. As I instructed them to go back, the eight year old took the five year old by the hand and they walked back into Chris' heart. When we were finished I asked my spirit guide if there was anything else I needed to do or say. He had a warm, pleasant smile on his face and then he showed me the vision of Chris working at the horse stables again. He told me that Chris would soon get a job working at horse stables. I relayed this message to Chris and her face was radiating with joy and anticipation. It was thrilling for me to be able to restore such a great sense of passion in this beautiful sixteen year old girl. I was very happy for her!

This was a very interesting experience for me, as I have never done anything like this before. The session with Joni started out with sitting quietly and relaxing. Joni is a very good hostess, making me and my wife feel comfortable. As we were sitting there, Joni started laughing. Apparently my spirit fragment presented itself to Joni and was very arrogant, but also she sensed it was a very wise and accepting spirit. This spirit fragment was about 10 years old and made the comment that it was about time you found me, and that is why Joni started laughing. At this point we worked to find out why this spirit fragment split off from my body. Joni described to me a situation in school were kids were making fun of me during some kind of game and that somehow this part of me wasn't getting nurtured and validated. Due to what was going on at school, and how the kids were making fun of me during this time frame, this piece of my spirit left. Unknown to Joni and my wife, when I was in the 6th grade during a four-square game, I was given a nickname that people used to make fun of me from then on, until I was a sophomore in high school. This was a very hard time in my life, and I have to admit there were times when I just didn't want to be around. Joni was able to nail this situation down through her telepathic communication with her spirit guides; very impressive!

When we then figured out what the spirit fragment wanted to come back into my being, Joni simply said that this fragment wanted to be nurtured, validated, and accepted. Acceptance seemed to be the theme for this fragment. We went over some things that I should be doing for my own spiritual growth. Joni then stood up from the couch and described that one of those things I needed to do was to go to the beach in the next two months. She had this vision of me standing with my feet in the water with my hands open and just looking out into the horizon. I looked over at my wife and we were very surprised to hear this from Joni, as this is a meditation that I already do. I very much like to go to the beach, stick my feet into the water, and feel connected to everything on the planet as the water touches so much of the earth. I open my palms and just "BE" and FEEL. This is always very powerful and very healing for me. Joni finished by then asking me to embrace this piece of me, and to sit and relax and let it be reintegrated into my being.

Overall this experience was many things to me. I believe Joni really hit the mark on many things without even knowing me. I felt very calm and relaxed through the whole experience, and afterward believe I gained more insight into myself. I feel that I definitely benefited from this experience. I highly recommend Joni's gifts to anyone with an open mind and who wants to really understand themselves. I believe she approaches this work with sincerity and love, and is able to interpret the many messages that come from the divine.
